Instead of spending your 4th of July searching for a place to see fireworks, why not spend it at Yellowstone National Park. This is one of the best times of the year to visit the park because everything just seems to come alive. The flowers will be blooming, the wildlife roaming freely and the hiking trails never looked more beautiful.
The weather is comfortable usually hovering somewhere around the mid seventies to the mid eighties. It’s not very humid so this makes it feel even more comfortable. This means that July is an ideal time to go camping and enjoy all the wonderful things the park has to offer especially hiking. You won’t have to worry so much about getting too hot and becoming dehydrated. However, it’s still recommended that you take along plenty of water when hiking.
It’s important to remember that you can still get sunburned even though it feels comfortable so wear a good sunscreen with a high SPF. The nights will get chilly so take along some warm clothing. Don’t forget the raincoat and waterproof hat because thunderstorms are very common this time of year.
There are many others things to enjoy while at the park such as boating, bicycling, horseback riding and fishing. You can go for a picnic and view the amazing wildlife, go see some of the historic points of interest or join in on some of the other fascinating activities Yellowstone National Park has to offer. It’s a fun vacation for all and a unique way to spend your 4th of July.
While your friends are spending hours standing around in a crowd waiting for a fireworks display that normally last for less than an hour, you could be having the time of your life. It’s something the whole family can enjoy because there is something for everyone.
